The Warren Institute, accredited by NY State, is a not-for-profit organization with a mission to improve the quality of lives around the world. There are 100 practioners
involved at branches in the UK, Florida, Michigan and Washington State, with counseling crisis response teams who visit trauma victims. The organization publishes and implements research studies about current trauma treatment techniques and provides trauma victims one-on-one affordable psychotherapy.
"The world and especially our country experience a great deal of stress," states Dr. Muriel Prince Warren, President & Executive Director. "I call it The National Trauma Syndrome." Her most current book, From Trauma to Transformation, speaks to this recently-recognized psychological condition and how people can be empowered to better cope.
Dr. Warren has practiced psychotherapy and clinical hypnotherapy in Rockland County since l980. She is an internationally recognized author who has written eight books and numerous articles. She lecturers around the world and extensively crosses the pond to work with UK Naval Intelligence Officers on trauma and stress. In conjunction with the Institute, Dr. Warren has a newly-developed Life Skills Programs. Titles include Inner Personal Power Weight Loss, Chill Out to Reduce Stress, Cigarette Cessation, and Reducing Trauma in the Schools (a program to help school personnel during a school crisis), a program that Dr. Warren hopes to introduce to Rockland County schools.
