Thank you for all you do for tobacco control. Every effort you make contributes to the overall positive changes we are seeing in many ways, from additional smoke-free areas, less adults smoking, less teens smoking, and reductions in heart disease and cancer. The social norm to be smoke-free and tobacco-free continues to become stronger, as does the scientific validity of the impact we all make.
On January 26, 2009, the California Air Resources Board will be releasing its new proposals to control secondhand smoke pertaining to outdoor areas, the first entity in the nation to do so. This will be the foundation for new projects you can be a part of.
