Barbara DeVico brings a diverse background to her company, Healthy Body Healthy Mind. This background helps facilitate her ability to communicate and understand the multiple and diverse backgrounds of her clients who seek her help.

As a child, Barbara survived a life threatening and very rare spinal tumor, which led to unremitting pain throughout most of her childhood. As a result of this experience, Barbara has an uncanny understanding of physical and emotional pain, especially that of children. This understanding allows her to relate to the many diverse experiences of her clients. Diversity, understanding, and empathy allow Barbara’s work to facilitate the healing process of her many clients.

Barbara has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Medical Social Work from California State University at Long Beach. She has also completed graduate work in Educational Psychology, and received her Special Education teaching credentials. Barbara completed her Hypnosis and Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) training from Bennett/Stellar University, The American Institute of Hypnotherapy, and Holmes Center of Hypnotherapy. She also completed a basic nutrition program from the University of Ohio. Barbara has valuable certifications in Hypnosis, Neurolinguistic Programming, Time Line Therapy, Life Coach, Reike and Nutrition. Additionally, she holds several specialty certifications in pain control, fibromyalgia, IBS, hypertension, weight management and smoking cessation. Barbara is a member of the American Board of Hypnotherapy, the National Guild of Hypnotists, and the National League of Medical Hypnotherapists.

After working as a hypnotherapist specializing in eating disorders, Barbara opened her successful company, Healthy Body Healthy Mind, which is dedicated to helping others in there quest for spiritual, mental, physical and emotional health
