MEET YOUR HYPNOTHERAPIST
Here is a little information about me and the training I have had. I graduated from the only Federally accredited college in the US for Hypnotherapy in 1996 and have been in continuous practice eversince. I have continued to take more course thought the years to learn all the latest techniques as well as to keep my certification current. Further, I am also a Nationally accredited hypnotherapy instructor, certified by the largest professional organization in not only the US, but Europe as well.
I am certified in Complimentary Medicine, weight management, Sports therapist and do considerable work with people who wish to live the rest of their lives as non-smokers. There are two methods of becoming a non-smoker: one is a gradual cutdown over a period of about 4 weeks where the client comes in twice the first week and then once a week thereafter. This method is more for the client who really is not quite ready to let go of the cigs. Then, my most popular method is where we do two sessions at the same time-that is you come in for 2 hrs. and that’s it! It’s done in one appointment, in one day. I also record the hypnosis portion for you to use as reinforcement if you so choose, although most of my clients tell me they never need to do that. However, things come up in our lives that add undo stress and perhaps create a moment of weakness that may cause one to fall back. I also offer suggestions that address those time when you may find yourself more likely to be tempted, i.e. after you eat, stressful situations, feeling uncomfortable in a group, needing something to do with your hands, or perhaps simply needing a break from a given situation. And if you are worried about gaining weight, forget it, we can handle that at the same time; besides a few extra pounds is a LOT less life damaging than smoking. Whatever your triggers are, I address them in the session.
And if you have a lot of triggers, perhaps the gradual cutdown program would be best for you. You are always in control during the session. You hear all that is being said and could easily get and leave if you chose-hasn’t happened yet, but I like to let people know that they are always in control, I cannot make you do anything against your own belief system. I do not put people on diets or do any form of aversion therapy. Everything I do is life supporting, not punishing. Your self-esteem and confidence increase, I offer techniques for you to employ when you are feeling out of control. I also offer suggestions about things to avoid, certain foods and drinks, perhaps certain place should be avoided for a while. Hypnosis is also most effective for many other concerns: test anxiety, pain management, fear/phobias, ADHD, athletic performance, stress, insomnia, confidence, creativity, learning and memory enhancement and yes, even past life regression work. But the side affects are always positive. A better sense of well-being, confidence and self-control are automatics.
