A Brief Biography:

Dr. Eileen Buese is a licensed psychologist who has been in practice since 1985. Her practice is holistic, combining traditional psychotherapy and complementary healing works. Dr. Buese specializes in Ericksonian Hypnotherapy especially for body/mind issues. She is Certified by and an Approved Consultant of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH). She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma work. She is especially interested in energy work and has trained in Reiki, attaining the Master's level (Shihan). Her love of animals in addition to humans has led her to study Animal Healing Touch and Communication and apply her energy psychotherapy knowledge to other species. Dr. Buese is also a firm believer in the healing power of humor.

Reiki: Reiki means "Universal Energy". It uses light, non-invasive touch to channel universal energy to a patient's energy body. The purpose is to restore balance, eliminate blockages, replenish deficits, support the immune system, rebuild the stores of energy, enhance flow and connection, and foster healing and well-being.

Animal Healing Touch & Communication: Healing Touch is an energy-based treatment to align and balance the energy fields. The focus is to re-activate the body/mind/spirit connection and to eliminate blockages to self-healing. It is a chakra based treatment. Communication is based on both intuition (third eye chakra) and heart chakra to heart chakra communication as taught by Carol Gurney (www.animaltalk.com). Dr. Buese receives images, impressions, thoughts, and sensations from animals with whom she works. These help their human companions understand their animals' behaviors, moods, and body/mind issues. Dr. Buese is glad to work in conjunction with veterinarians and animal behaviorists, and does both in-person and distance healing touch and communication. She welcomes all species.

Ericksonian Hypnotherapy: Dr. Buese is an ASCH Approved Consultant. She specializes in Ericksonian Hypnotherapy which respects the patient's inner capacity for self-healing, and to do so both consciously and unconsciously. Ericksonian hypnosis plays with the language, metaphor, stories, and imagery at conscious and unconscious levels, always with the patient in control. Dr. Buese finds this kind of hypnosis particularly useful for body/mind issues, illness, well-being, chronic or acute conditions, etc. Hypnosis is a learned skill and Dr. Buese is a skilled teacher.
