“John gave me the courage
and the tools to finally
get over my smoking habit.
I really didn’t think
I could ever beat it,
and with John’s help
it was painless.
I am a believer!”

READ FIRST:
Although it was known by an other name, Dr. Goldman’s first experience with hypnosis was as a youngster taking acting classes. Her pantomime Instructors used a process called “progressive relaxation” to help students develop muscle flexibility and control. She was so impressed with the experience, she held informal gatherings in her living room to teach it to her friends.
As a young adult, she had difficulty handling extreme anxiety in a variety of situations. She discovered traditional therapy was severely limited in helping solve the problem. When she sought out the help of a hypnotherapist, she found success. It was then that she decided to make her life’s work about showing people the power of hypnosis.
She began her private practice as a certified hypnotherapist in 1985 and went on to get her Ph.D. in hypnotherapy in 1989.
Her writing career compliments her hypnosis career as it reflects her knowledge of psychology and her ability to assist people with making personal change. Her first award winning book, Emotional Disorders (about alcoholism, eating disorders, depression, etc.), was published in 1994 and her second one, Teenage Suicide, in 1996. Both can be found in libraries and schools across the country. Her third book, Success for the Diet Dropout: Proven Strategies for Women who want to Stop Hating their Bodies, was published in 2001. And is available on Amazon.
Her weekly column called Ask Dr. Nikki. has appeared in three California newspapers. Each week she answers teen’s questions about things of such national concern as school violence and as personal as how to handle a disloyal friend. The issues reflect items found in the news or simply respond to individuals personal needs as expressed in letters they write to Ask Dr. Nikki
She practices hypnotherapy in two locations. One is in Poway California and the other in Temecula California. She is also the developer and facilitator of corporate training in Strategies for Coping with Stress, Stop Smoking and Success for the Diet Dropout: Strategies for Women Who Want to Stop Hating their Bodies

"I smoked 1 1/2 packs a day for 15 years and haven't smoked since.
This really works! And I didn't gain an ounce!!"
