In 1989 Wesley Anderson graduated from the American Institute of Hypnotherapy as a Doctor of Clinical Hypnotherapy, and has since been awarded trainers certification in hypnotherapy by the American Board of Hypnotherapy, and in Neuro Linguistic Programming, by the Society of NLP. Additionally, he is certified as a hypnoanesthesiologist and pain control specialist by the National Board of Hypnotic Anesthesiology.

Dr. Anderson is actively involved in the hypnotherapy profession in Georgia, serving as the Secretary of the Georgia Association of Hypnotherapists, as well as being on the GACH Board of Directors. He is also a member of the American Board of Hypnotherapy and the National Guild Of Hypnotists.

Dr. Anderson has published articles in the Atlanta Sports And Fitness Magazine, The Aquarius, and professional publications such as The New England Hypnosis Newsletter, and The International Journal Of Integrative Medicine, and has been interviewed by WSB radio, The Atlanta Journal Constitution, and on television, as well as having been a regular guest on the Atlanta radio programs Conscious Living on WQXI, 790 AM and Dr. Susan on Call, on WGUN 1010 AM.

Dr. Anderson's academic background includes a BA from the University of Virginia, a MLS from Florida State University, and a doctorate in naturopathy (ND) from the College of Natural Therapeutics in Los Altos, CA. Dr. Anderson practiced as a naturopath for five years in Atlanta after receiving his doctorate in 1977. Subsequently, he practiced as a neuromuscular therapist for another five years after training with Paul St. Johns, the original developer of neuromuscular therapy before receiving certification in hypnotherapy in 1988.
