Dr. Mau’s consultations are always free.

Dr. Mau is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), Distance Credentialed Counselor (DCC).

He is Nationally Board Certified by the National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH), the nation’s oldest and largest professional association of hypnotists. This is the highest level of professional credential available in our profession. Dr. Mau is a Certified Instructor of hypnosis with the NGH and regularly train professional hypnotists.

He is approved by the State of South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation to teach Continuing Education (CEUs) to Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFTs) and School Counselors. He regularly provides workshops on the use of hypnosis for various counseling issues.

Our approach is derived from Ericksonian Hypnosis and is related to Narrative Therapy and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. While we do not provide therapy, our approach is a solution-focused brief model, designed to facilitate significant emotional change. We believe in moving toward solutions to create lasting change.
