This has not happened for 19 years and the astronomers are very excited because in January 2014, we have two new moons! We will also have shooting stars and Venus will shine brightly in the evening sky. Saturn will be close to our wonderful planet and our days will start to become longer. “I’m Probably the Last Person to Write About New Year’s Resolutions”

I’m probably the last person to write about New Year’s Resolutions. At my advancing age, which I am finally no longer willing to share, I realized that I gave up making New Year’s Resolutions quite a few years ago. And guess what: I’m happier for doing so.
I did that around the same time that I decided that I was no longer going to be in frenetic bondage to Christmas and other winter holidays. I did that when I realized that my recurring dream/nightmare had been coming earlier and earlier each year.

The Tobacco Education & Research Oversight Committee is developing a letter to be shared with all school governing boards. That letter takes the position that the same prohibitions should be placed on electronic nicotine delivery systems as are placed on tobacco.
The concerns expressed parents (see below) make it imperative that school boards act now.
