HypnoMyth 5: Getting Stuck

If you go to see a hypnosis stage show, the volunteers go into and out of hypnotic trance when the hypnotists tells them to. In fact, they look as though, if the hypnotists didn’t tell them to wake up, they’d be stuck in hypnosis forever.

Learn How to Let Go

Do you have trouble letting go? I mean this in the most general sense: being about to let go of a fight you just had with a friend, or being able to let go of anxiety about an upcoming job interview…
We know we should let go, but sometimes we can’t. Why is that? In my practice I’ve found that it’s often the result of simply forgetting the benefits! We may know THAT we should let go of something without knowing the benefits of actually seeing it through!

There are many people who feel isolated because they have contracted herpes in particular. I say herpes because it is one of the more common sexually transmitted diseases. Here are the statistics from the CDC: One out of six Americans have genital herpes and 80% of all Americans have oral herpes. Interestingly enough 20.9% of women have genital herpes and 11.5% of men have genital herpes. Up to 50% of genital herpes is contracted through oral sex with through infection of oral herpes. Up to 80% of those with genital herpes don’t even know they have it.

Kids in Hypnosis Part 3 Hypnosis and Teens

Isn’t it interesting that even though every adult was once a teen, it can still seem as though this phase of life is almost alien?! Even in the most balanced of families, it is possible for a joyful and loving child to turn into a surly and resistant adversary and this transformation can happen almost overnight.

Add hormonal influxes such as a “testosterone storm”, negative influences from peers, body image issues, difficult family dynamics, health problems, insufficient sleep and poor nutrition, etc., and you have the recipe for one unhappy young person, which probably also means an unhappy family unit.

HypnoMyth #3: Violating Your Morals

In bad movies, people who are hypnotized become zombies, ready to do anything their evil master says, even if it’s something terrible, like punching a puppy.

As it turns out, hypnosis is not like what you saw on TV. If you have strong morals, no one can make you violate them, with or without hypnosis.

Stress and Anxiety are Killers

“Stress and Anxiety are Killers”

by David Newman

Yeah, I know we have heard that, perhaps on an intellectual level we know and understand it, but we really don’t. Stress is caused by fight syndrome, and once the subconscious activates fight, the adrenal gland is activated. adrenal glands (also known as suprarenal glands) are endocrine glands that sit at the top of the kidneys; in humans, the right adrenal gland is triangular shaped, while the left adrenal gland is semilunar shaped. They are chiefly responsible for releasing hormones in response to stress through the synthesis of corticosteroids such as cortisol and catecholamines such asepinephrine (adrenaline) and norepinephrine. They also produce androgens. The adrenal glands affect kidney function through the secretion of aldosterone, a hormone involved in regulating the osmolarity of blood plasma. Most of us feel the effects of the adrenaline that is immediately release. Adrenaline increases the heart rate, increases blood pressure and respiration, and sometimes we also feel a tightness in the chest.

Stress is a silent killer that leads to lots of different issues if it is left untreated. I have listed a few of those issues below. Stress can easily be treated without medication (although in North America the medical community will usually turn to pharmaceuticals first). Biofeedback has been around for years. Biofeedback is a method of learning how to control our stress, and increase a state of relaxation. In the photo below we see a photography of an individuals actual brainwave who is learning how to control their focus (stress) and their meditation (relaxation). Learning to use biofeedback is quick and easy to learn and the tools (biofeedback machines) do not have to be expensive.

Biofeedback photo

Meditation (total absence of thought), Music Therapy (using the vibrations of musical instruments to promote a calming and relaxation state of mind), biofeedback (learning to place oneself into a calm state of mind by using a device that measures the electrical impulses in the skin. All of these methods work equally well.

Don’t Give Up Trying to Stop Smoking

Don’t Give Up Trying to Stop Smoking

by Wendy Merron, Board Certified Hypnotist
Wendy Merron photo

It’s been a few weeks since you decided that this is the year you are going to stop smoking.
If you’ve quit cigarettes, I want to congratulate you!

If you are still struggling with cigarettes, don’t give up. (What I mean is don’t give up trying to stop smoking.)
There is an important reason you haven’t quit yet. The reason you haven’t quit smoking has nothing to do with your smoking habit.
The reason has everything to do with what you say to yourself every day.

Have you noticed how often you say to yourself “I really want a cigarette,” or “Quitting cigarettes is really difficult.”?
These are very real thoughts and most likely you’ve said something like that frequently.

These are also true and honest thoughts, but unfortunately, they can cause you to do the exact opposite of what you want.

YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS MIND

As a Certified Hypnotist what I do is to help people just like you to change your thoughts and achieve your goals – WITHOUT STRUGGLE.

One of the first things I do is to help you understand how your subconscious mind works. One of the important facts about your mind is that it will always go in the direction of your In fact, your mind will do exactly what you ask for.

So when you say “Quitting cigarettes is really difficult,” then your subconscious responds “Oh, he must thing quitting cigarettes is really difficult. That must be
what he wants to feel.”

Here’s the big secret. Your subconscious mind will never respond by asking “Do you really want quitting cigarettes to be hard?”

Your subconscious mind will simply think this is what you want. The result is that becoming a non-smoker will always feel difficult.

HOW TO STOP SMOKING EASILY

If your goal is to stop smoking easily you must learn how to create the thoughts that will help you, rather than hinder you.
The easiest path to success is to make an appointment with a qualified Certified Hypnotist.

When you stop smoking a lot of things will improve in your life. You’ll have more energy. You’ll feel better. You’ll smell better. You’ll even save bundles of cash.

Hypnotists are experts at helping you become a non-smoker without struggling. Your hypnotist will help you find a good habit to replace the old useless one of smoking, so that you don’t gain weight.

Most important is that a good hypnotist will help you discover the most powerful words you need to say to yourself to become a non-smoker.

Fear of Public Speaking – Hypnosis Can Help

“Fear of Public Speaking – Hypnosis Can Help”

by Wanda Hazleton, Clinical Hypnotherapist

Wanda Hazleton photo

DID YOU KNOW?? Public speaking is the number one fear of more people than dying?

Public speaking, like other fears and phobia’s can be overcome. A person doesn’t have to accept it as a “normal” part of their life!

With a carefully crafted combination of Hypnotherapy and NLP sessions, one can not only overcome the fear of public speaking, but, feel and be completely calm and confident while doing so!

There are amazing “tools of the trade”, so to speak, that a person can take with them and use them on demand whenever and wherever the occasion calls for it. And they work EVERY SINGLE TIME!

A client of mine, came to me a few years ago upset that his boss had assigned him to be the key speaker at an upcoming company event. He was new on the job and didn’t dare to tell him that he was terrified to stand up in front of group and speak.

He was desperate and was even considering quitting his new job. He wasn’t aware public speaking, in any form, would be ask of him.

Within just a few short weeks of working together, he was ready to give his presentation and was feeling really good about his new-found ability.

BUT, the best part of this story is this; I received a phone call from this gentleman a full three years later. He was calling to tell me that he had received an award and a promotion at his job.

He would now be traveling nationwide giving lectures on behalf of his company! He wanted to thank me once again for my help.

I always say, the credit goes to Hypnotherapy and NLP. I’m just the guide.
