“My name is Alicia Marcos Birong, and I am a Certified Clinical Master Hypnotherapist, Certified Professional Life Coach, and Certified Trainer in Hypnotherapy and Coaching. With 30 years of experience as a therapist, coach, and counselor, I’ve dedicated my career to helping individuals of all ages make meaningful changes in their lives. I hold a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Loyola University, Chicago.

I founded and own Guided Choices, which I established over 15 years ago in San Diego and later expanded to the Chicago area more than 5 years ago. I created Guided Choices to offer an alternative to traditional therapy, believing strongly in the power of hypnosis as a tool for change that many people are unable to achieve through conventional methods.

My practice serves a diverse clientele, and I specialize in working with children who have various behavioral issues, including ADHD/ADD and sensory challenges. I also work extensively with women, assisting them through life’s many transitions, whether related to family, career, or personal growth. I combine Professional Life Coaching with hypnosis to support these transformations.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked in the nonprofit sector, the business community, and in ministry. I’m a certified NGH (National Guild of Hypnotists) Trainer and have presented at international conferences, including the NGH International, Mid-America, and ACHE (American Council of Hypnosis Examiners) conferences, where I speak on my specialty of Pediatric Hypnosis. I’m a pioneer in the field of children’s hypnosis, having developed specific techniques to help children through hypnosis.

In the past, I directed a hypnotherapy school in San Diego, where I designed an exclusive Pediatric Hypnosis component. The school was affiliated with ACHE. Currently, I offer a certification program in hypnosis and life coaching in the Chicago area and teach pediatric hypnotherapy at conferences and to therapists in the Midwest.

My professional background includes serving as Executive Director for a halfway house for women in Georgia and Program Director for several adolescent treatment centers. I’ve also held the position of youth minister at the parish, diocesan, and national levels, working in Michigan, Texas, and Louisiana.

On a personal note, I am a wife, mother of two successful grown children, and a grandmother. I’m passionate about volunteering with local nonprofit groups, helping children and women navigate various transitions using hypnosis and life coaching.

I’ve published several articles on Pediatric Hypnosis and other aspects of Hypnosis and Life Coaching, and I’m currently completing a book on Pediatric Hypnosis. Whether you need to pass a test, change a behavior, or make a significant life change, I’ve likely worked with it and achieved positive results.
