“I still remember the first time I ever smoked. I was in high school, and my friends and I had just finished a soccer game. We were all so proud of ourselves, but we were also exhausted. So we decided to stop by a convenience store on the way home to buy some snacks and drinks.

A couple of my friends went inside to get snacks while I waited outside with my other friend who was still on the team’s bench, stretching. When he was done, he walked over to me, pulled out a cigarette from his pocket, lit it up and took a long drag. He then offered me one as well.

I don’t know why I accepted that offer because I never smoked before that day.”
